About The Airline
In 2013, Chisholm Enterprises established Texel Air to capitalise on opportunities in the Middle East’s Airline and MRO industry. Over the past decade, Texel Air has grown significantly, expanding its scale, customer base, and capabilities. In June 2023, Texel Air Limited (NZ) was launched as a sister airline operating under a new AOC in New Zealand.
Today, Texel Air operates a fleet of ten Boeing 737 freighters across the Middle East and Australasia, with several anchor customers in both regions. The company also operates the largest commercial aircraft maintenance facility at Bahrain International Airport, providing comprehensive 145 maintenance services to its in-house fleet and other Airbus and Boeing operators.
Beyond MRO services, Texel Air offers a range of additional services from its Bahrain Hangar Facility, including aircraft parking, maintenance personnel hosting, and hangar and tooling rental. Texel Air Limited (NZ) is exploring the establishment of Line & Base maintenance facilities in Australia and New Zealand, further expanding the company's service offerings.
Texel Air’s journey exemplifies the power of vision, perseverance, and commitment to excellence, solidifying its position as a leading provider of ACMI/Charter and MRO solutions in the region.
