On February 8, 2012 a press-tea was held with Anatoly Gusarov, the General Director of National Airline “Belavia”.At this press event the director of the national air carrier summed up the results of 2011: “We can sum up the results of the ended year only at the beginning of the next year because of peculiarities of our professional activity in aviation. In January 2012 we have consolidated all the figures and factors, and now we can definitely say that 2011 was the most successful period in the 15-year history of our airline. The growth of a passenger traffic flow, the number of new clients and projects has pleased me as a manager of the company. But this is not a reason to stop. All of our employees (1,300) have got an additional incentive to further development, growth and desire to reach a new level of the services provided”. In 2011 we carried out scheduled flights to 37 airports in 23 countries. We opened new scheduled flights from Minsk National Airport to Helsinki, Simferopol and Karaganda, as well as from Grodno, Brest and Gomel to Kaliningrad. Flights to Astana and Hannover have become regular. Over the past year we increased the frequency of flights of nineteen routes, it helped to increase greatly the numerical rating of carried passengers. Thus, over the past year we carried about 1,036,000 passengers, it is plus 7% in comparison with 2010. For comparison, in 2010 the passenger traffic flow amounted up to 968,000 persons. In 2011 it was transported 1.586 tons of cargo, mail and excess baggage. In 2010 this figure amounted up to 1.500 tons. The planes of western production made 92.2% of all flights of the airline. The regularity of flights was 93.4%, this fact points to the punctuality of the airline and to the high quality of service provided to the passengers of the national airline. Currently, the airline's fleet consists of 17 aircraft, but in autumn of 2012 two new Embraer-175 aircrafts will be added to the park of National Airline “Belavia”. In addition to renewal of the park, in June, 2012 the airline is going to open Minsk-Novosibirsk flight and to increase the frequency of flights of existing destinations. In the near future we are going to organize a presentation of a new uniform for flight attendants. The development of the “Belavia Leader” loyalty program is also one of the achievements of the airline. Currently, the number of participants who gets bonus points for flights include 10,045 passengers of the National Airline “Belavia” from 76 countries.
