About The Airline
Air Changan was established during a crucial time in the implementation of the Silk Road Economic Belt national policy. The airline obtained its Air Carrier Certificate on April 5, 2016, and made its maiden flight on May 9, the same year. Air Changan’s primary operating base is in Xi’an, Shaanxi Province, and the airline has 22 aircraft on its registry and 11 B737-800 passenger aircraft in operation. Air Changan is dedicated to constructing an air bridge between cities along the “Belt and Road” and fostering the interaction and diffusion of Chinese and Western cultures of the highest caliber.
The establishment of Air Changan is jointly funded by Shaanxi Provincial Government and HNA Aviation Group during the critical construction era of the Silk Road Economic Belt. Air Changan obtained its Air Carrier Certificate on April 5, 2016, and completed its maiden flight on May 9, the same year. Currently, it is the Part 121 passenger airline under the jurisdiction of CAAC Northwest Regional Administration. Air Changan operates 11 B737-800 aircraft as part of their fleet of 22 aircraft, which is based at Xi’an Xianyang International Airport. Air Changan is dedicated to constructing an air bridge between cities along the “Belt and Road” and fostering the interaction and diffusion of Chinese and Western cultures of the highest caliber. On December 8, 2021, HNA Aviarion Group and its member enterprises including Air Changan announced official membership of Liaoning Fangda Group.
Air Changan will enhance its commercial growth and passenger services in the following two aspects. First, Air Changan will continue to improve its route structure in the future to construct a route network based in Xi’an, radiating the entire country and serving the important cities along the “Belt and Road.” Second, Air Changan will proactively undertake social responsibility to protect passenger safety with a rigorous and meticulous work ethic, and to provide passengers with sincere service during their journey.
