About The Airline
Vueling, part of the IAG Group and celebrating its 20th anniversary this year, is a benchmark airline in Europe and a key player in Spain.
It is the leading airline at its main base in Barcelona-El Prat and in other important markets in Spain, such as Bilbao. It also has the largest number of flights between mainland Spain and the Balearic and Canary Islands. Internationally, it is working to strengthen its presence in key hubs such as London-Gatwick, Paris-Orly, Amsterdam, Florence and Rome. In 2024, the company has a network of 250 routes throughout the year, connecting 30 countries. It operates 200,000 flights a year and carried more than 34 million passengers in 2023.
With more than 4,600 employees, Vueling is the first European airline to be selected as a Top Employer. The company is firmly committed to decarbonising the industry and, as part of the IAG Group, has pledged to achieve net zero carbon emissions by 2050 through the implementation of the FlightPath Net Zero strategy.
True to its digital DNA, Vueling was the first airline to sell tickets through a mobile app and offer digital boarding passes with a QR code. In 2023, it was the first airline in Spain to introduce the biometric recognition system. The airline also has the largest innovation centre in the sector in Spain.
