WIZZ AIR DELIVERED THE 4th AIRCRAFT TO ITS KUTAISI BASE
Wizz Air, Europe’s fastest growing airline, is pleased to announce that the 4 aircraft joined its modern fleet in Kutaisi. Georgian passengers are now able to travel to Copenhagen from Georgia’s third biggest city. The company’s flights to Copenhagen will carry passengers twice a week, with frequency of services set to also increase for other destinations, up to three or four per week for some connections. The new aircraft will connect David the Builder Kutaisi International Airport to various destinations in Europe and beyond.
With the fourth aircraft at the base and the new route added to the Georgian network, Wizz Air consolidates its leading position in the market as the largest airline operating from Kutaisi. These efforts restate the airline’s commitment to offering popular destinations and ultra-low fares to as many passengers as possible, in the most sustainable way and helping more than 160,000 passengers reach their destinations each day.
"We are excited to welcome our fourth aircraft in Kutaisi in exactly half year after we celebrated the arrival of the third base aircraft. I am glad to witness how we constantly bring new destinations to our Georgian travelers and how we connect them with Europe and beyond. Brining the fourth aircraft to Kutaisi and with that launching a new route to Copenhagen is important for Wizz Air and for the airport alike. This possibility enables us to offer even more travel options for our passengers.” comments Zsuzsa Trubek, Communications Manager of Wizz Air.
"We are delighted that We have a possibility to attract new destinations and increase the number of existing flights. Stationing of the fourth jet and increased flight frequencies will result in a huge growth in the number of tourists. The United Airports of Georgia’s goal is to offer quality services to the passengers and with our strategic partner Wizz Air we have the opportunity to reach our mutual goals. Today, once again, we are able to see the result of a negotiation and strategy that we have done right.” adds Irakli Karkashadze, Chief Executive Officer of United Airports of Georgia.
