WIZZ AIR GROWS FLEET TO 200 AIRCRAFT WITH NEW A321NEO
Wizz Air, Europe’s fastest-growing and most sustainable airline globally*, is accelerating its network growth with the delivery of its 200th aircraft.
Following record passenger numbers in 2023, Wizz Air is continuing to grow its network. The airline has more than 300 state-of-the art A321neo and A321XLR aircraft on order, enabling it to reach the strategic goal of 500 aircraft in its fleet by 2030.
Valued at over €100m, the new Airbus A321neo will be based at London Luton. The aircraft’s inaugural flight departed London Luton to Bacău in Romania.
The Airbus A321neo aircraft incorporates the latest technology and offers significant environmental benefits. The aircraft can currently fly with up to 50% SAF blend, provides a nearly 50% reduction in noise, a 20% reduction in fuel consumption and carbon emissions and 50% reduction in nitrogen oxide emissions**. The new aircraft takes the average age of Wizz Air’s fleet to 4.24 years, making it the second youngest in the world among 100+ aircraft airlines.
