A VIP welcoming for the two-million passenger and his family at Burgas Airport
Fraport Twin Star Airport Management welcomed on 16th August its 2-millionth passenger at Burgas Airport for 2016.
This year the important guest was welcomed at the airport 18 days earlier compare to 2015.
Mr. Mario Edinger arrived in Burgas with a flight of the Bulgarian national air carrier ”Bulgaria Air” from Frankfurt and was welcomed by the CEO of Fraport Twin Star - Mr. Ulrich Heppe, the director of Burgas Airport - Mr. Georgi Chipilski, the deputy mayor of Burgas- Mr. Krasimir Stoychev and the deputy governor- Ms. Sevdalina Turmanova.
Mario is coming to Bulgaria for a first time and together with his wife and their two children are going to stay in a hotel in Sunny Beach for 12 days. They know that Bulgaria has a beautiful nature and kind people.
The captain of the special flight was the director of the airline - Captain Yanko Georgiev.
According to the tradition the 2-millionth passenger was welcomed at the airport with an official ceremony and received many gifts from Fraport Twin Star - operator of Burgas Airport, municipality of Burgas, governor office and the Duty Free operator Nuance.
The CEO of Fraport Twin Star gave the special surprise- a voucher for a tourist visit to island St. Anastasia near Burgas, to the family.
The 2-millionth passenger and his family were taken to the hotel, where they will be accommodated, with a luxurious retro car- Mercedes from the 30’s, which was specially rented and branded for the event.
During this year Burgas Airport is handling flights from 21 German destinations and three of them are new: Munich, Rostock and Friedrichshafen. The German tourists for this year are with 47% more compared to last year. Since the beginning of the year until now at Burgas Airport is served over 240,000 passengers to and from Germany.
It is expected the growth of all serviced passengers for 2016 at Burgas Airport to be around 20%.
