Fraport Twin Star won the prize of the German Economy in Bulgaria
Fraport Twin Star Airport Management, the operator of Varna and Burgas airports won the prestigious award of the German Economy in Bulgaria in the race for the first category of "large enterprise". The honorary statuette was given to Ulrich Heppe - CEO of the company during the official award ceremony in Sofia.

In 2016 Fraport Twin Star reported a historical increase in the serviced passengers – 22%. Which shows that Bulgaria is a very beautiful country and attracts many tourists and it’s a great place for doing successful business." said Ulrich Heppe during the award ceremony.
In 2016, Fraport Twin Star invested more than 12 million levŠ° at both airports. The company achieved a record increase of the serviced passengers to and from Germany, a total of 38% growth for both airports. 31% more seasonal employees were hired in 2016 compared to the summer of 2015.
The competition presents the business development that contributes to the bilateral relations Bulgaria-Germany.
The winner in each category was determined by a committee of representatives from business, politics and diplomacy.
In the last 10 years Fraport Twin Star Airport Management invested in the development of the both Black Sea coast airports more than 350 million leva.
