Loganair announces that they will start a summer route between Aberdeen and the Faroe Islands
Loganair, Scotland’s Airline is a Flybe franchise partner predominately operating flights within Scotland as well as cross border services inside the UK.
Today, Loganair announced that they will start an air service from Aberdeen to Vágar in Summer 2017. The flights will operate on a 50 seat SAAB 2000 aircraft at the following times from Friday 26th May to Sunday 3rd September 2017:
Fridays: Aberdeen - Vágar at 09.55 and Vagar – Aberdeen at 12.20
Sundays: Aberdeen – Vagar at 12.20 and Vagar Aberdeen at 15.40
The new service has been timed to meet connecting Flybe flights at Aberdeen, opening connections to more UK destinations including Birmingham, Manchester Kirkwall (Orkney Isles) and Sumburgh (Shetland Isles).
The flights will be through flight numbered from/to Shetland for ease of connectivity. Loganair also has an interline agreement with British Airways therefore this new service opens a gateway from London Heathrow to Vágar.
