About The Airport

Klagenfurt Airport is located in the south of Austria (province of Carinthia) very close to Italy and Slovenia. With over 2m people in its catchment area, the airport has handled up to 300,000 passengers p.a. in recent years.

In addition to the emerging local economy and the fast-growing science cluster, the province of Carinthia is one of Austria's strongest tourist region, with over 3m visitors per year.

Carinthia is well known for its breath-taking lakes in summer as well as for its magnificent ski resorts in winter. Airlines will benefit from a lower seasonality as Klagenfurt is the ideal year-round tourism destination.

The clear goal is to introduce more direct flights to European metropolises as well as to increase incoming and outgoing touristic traffic. We are looking for airline and tour operator partners to use the potential of our region.
