Kick-off event of the package "Provision of Management and Operation Consultancy Services for Long Thanh International Airport"
On the afternoon of October 10, 2024, a kick-off meeting was held at Airports Corporation of Vietnam (ACV) to begin the consultancy package for the management and operation of Long Thanh International Airport. The meeting is a critical step in ensuring the airport is fully prepared for smooth and safe operations from its first day of opening. It also enhances its competitive capacity once it becomes operational.

On August 30, 2024, the Airports Corporation of Vietnam (ACV) signed a strategic contract with a consortium led by Incheon International Airport, focusing on consultancy for the management and operation of Long Thanh International Airport. The agreement signifies a major step in preparing for the opening of the airport in 2026. Incheon Airport, known for its world-class management expertise, will offer guidance in operational efficiency and management strategies to help develop Long Thanh into a leading international aviation hub.
The Incheon Airport consortium has three main tasks in the consultancy project for Long Thanh International Airport: developing the concept of operations (ConOps) and supporting the implementation of detailed processes; advising on commercial policy and financial strategy; and assisting with ConOps testing and the transition to full operation.

He expressed ACV’s determination to fulfill this mission, enhancing the airport's competitive edge in the region and establishing a new face for Vietnam’s aviation industry. This effort aligns with the vision of positioning Long Thanh as a major international transit hub on par with leading airports in ASEAN and Asia.
