Bahrain International Airport participates in Routes World 2022

Bahrain Airport Company (BAC), the operator and managing body of Bahrain International Airport (BIA), showcased the airport’s offerings at one of the world’s most important aviation events, the World Route Development Forum 2022, which took place in Las Vegas, USA. Now in its 27th year, the three-day annual event unites decision-makers from the global route development community and facilitates the development of new airline routes.

The event was attended by a delegation chaired by the BAC Chief Executive Officer Mohamed Yousif Al Binfalah and members of BAC’s Airline Marketing and Routes Development teams, who showcased Bahrain’s numerous incentives for commercial and cargo airlines, as well as BIA’s benefits for airline partners, as part of their strategy to develop new routes with through the new airport, to seize upon opportunities presented after Covid-19.

Mr. Binfalah said, “Routes World is an excellent opportunity for us to network with fellow aviation professionals and gain access to exclusive industry insights. We have made important connections here with airlines who are considering adding BIA to their international networks, and look forward to taking these discussions further.”

He added, “With one of the most diversified economies in the GCC, Bahrain is a strategic gateway between the East and the West, and an important regional aviation hub providing seamless global connections. BIA’s state-of-the-art facilities support its airline partners with greater time and cost efficiency, and flexible schedules. We look forward to another successful Routes World event in 2023.”

For the first time, BAC partnered with Routes 360, an exclusive members-only communication platform which allows participants at Routes World to exchange information seamlessly, to access sophisticated Routes World marketing tools and widen its reach.
