Nis Constantine the Great Airport Terminal Expansion

Nis Constantine the Great Airport (INI) announced an expansion plan for the new terminal building.

Due to the growing number of passengers, the existing building of the Nis airport became "cramped", so it was decided to build a new one and adapt the existing one. The "Airport of Serbia" announces that the plan for the project technical documentation with all permits will be completed by the end of 2020.

The conceptual solution presented below shows a visual presentation of the new terminal building with a planned area of 7,160 square meters and the adaptation of the existing building of 2,100 square meters.

The project aims to expand the existing passenger terminal complex with more check-in desks, gates, new duty-free and passenger amenity areas, and remote transfer baggage facility. The terminal expansion will increase the annual passenger handling capacity of the airport to more than 1.5 million passengers.

The clearing of the terrain for construction is already in progress, and the finishing of all construction is expected to be completed in 2022.
