Karratha Airport (KTA) is the second busiest airport in Western Australia with approx. 800,000 pax movements per annum
We propose positioning KTA as a regional hub and we are building KTA as a new international port for Western Australia
Demand catchment analysis by PriceWaterhouse Coopers shows the market supports international routes to Asia e.g Singapore
The Government’s ‘Karratha: City of the North’ plan aims to transform Karratha to a modern regional city, with a future population of over 50,000 and a diverse local economy
Resource commodities produced in Karratha include iron ore, sea salt, ammonia and offshore liquid natural gas & condensates, with conglomerates Rio Tinto, Woodside Petroleum and Chevron
- KTA runway length is 2,280 metres and sufficient for A320-232 as well A330-300
- A terminal floor area up to approximately 6,650 square metre - fully upgraded 2015
- Fuel by Shell and Air BP (hydrant)
