Skytrax awards Malpensa a 4-star rating

Malpensa has received a new, prestigious recognition: Skytrax’s 4-star rating, certifying the quality of the services that the airport offers its passengers.  

Skytrax, one of the world’s leading airport quality certification bodies, proposes a ranking based on an “on-site” audit, which took place in October 2018 at Malpensa Terminal 1, considering almost 400 items deemed important to the traveller experience. Following the audit, the airport was awarded 4 out of 5 stars. 

Malpensa airport stood out in particular for its high levels of quality in terms of assisting passengers and keeping them informed, as well as for the accessibility and efficiency of the security check areas. Another factor that contributed to Skytrax’s rating was the attractiveness of the commercial areas, which offer a pleasant shopping experience, the result of major restyling in 2015 carried out with special attention to the quality of the passenger experience. The stylistic choices of the airport’s rooms and Lounges were also praised in the assessment. 

For Malpensa, this is a further step in its ongoing path towards continuous improvement of its passenger service.
