Ryanair accelerates growth in Milan Malpensa
Two additional aircraft, $200M investment, 30 routes (four new)
Ryanair, Italy’s No.1 airline, yesterday (25 Mar) announced further expansion at its Milan Malpensa base this summer. Two additional aircraft will be based at Ryanair’s Malpensa base from July. 30 routes will operate this summer, including four new to Barcelona, Corfu, Santorini and Zakynthos which will boost air traffic in the region as vaccination programmes continue and Europe re-opens in time for the summer holiday season.
Ryanair’s Milan Malpensa Summer ‘21 schedule will deliver:

Seven based aircraft (+ two extra)

Four new routes to: Barcelona (daily) and Corfu, Santorini and Zakynthos (all operating twice per week)

Increased flights to a number of destinations including: Alghero, Cagliari, Heraklion, Palermo, Brindisi, Bari, Catania, London Stansted, Porto and Vienna

Over 195 weekly flights

Connections to holiday destinations such as Gran Canaria and Alicante, city breaks to Berlin and Dublin, as well as domestic connections to Catania and Palermo.
Italian consumers can now book their summer holidays on even lower fares and with the option to avail of Ryanair’s zero change fee should plans change. To celebrate, Ryanair has launched a seat sale with special fares for travel until the end of October 2021, which must be booked by midnight Friday, 26th March on the Ryanair.com website.
