Zaporizhzhya Airport approached the mark of 400,000 passengers
Despite the fact that by the end of the year there is only one month left, the Zaporozhye airport has already come close to last year's record for the number of passengers. According to statistics for 11 months, almost 393 thousand people passed through the Zaporozhye air gate, which is 6.3% more than last year. Of these, 295 thousand on international flights and 97.5 thousand on domestic. These figures were achieved despite the repair of the runway, which began on September 2 and lasted more than a month and a half, until October 22.
Also, the airport significantly exceeded the figures for November this year, compared to the same period last year. In particular, the total number of passenger traffic increased 37.5% from 33 to 45.5 thousand passengers. In domestic areas, growth was 85.5% and 22% international.
It should be noted that this year SkyUp Ukrainian Low Cost has opened 3 flights from Zaporozhye - budget to Kiev, as well as flights to Sharjah and Tel Aviv.
Separately, in November, the Zaporozhye airport began cooperation with Hungarian Lowokost Airlines WizzAir . As a result, as early as March 2020, it is planned to open 6 flights to EU Member States at once, including Budapest, Vienna, Vilnius, Wroclaw, Gdansk and Krakow.
