The airport of Zaporizhzhya started the year with high rates
During the first month of 2020, 43 268 passengers used the services of KP International Airport of Zaporizhzhya. These figures are almost 40% higher than in January last year, when the passenger flow was 30,999 people.
The spike in passenger numbers was observed both on international flights carrying 32,176 people and on domestic flights, which were used by 11,092 people.
For comparison, in December 2019 the airport served 41,2 thousand passengers. So, every month, passenger traffic is steadily increasing.
A number of new flights are scheduled to be launched in late March and early April. In particular, it will be possible to reach Prague, Budapest, Vienna, Vilnius, Wroclaw, Gdansk and Krakow from the airport of Zaporozhye. The summer program also includes such new destinations as: Heraklion (Greece), Rimini (Italy), Batumi (Georgia), Larnaca (Cyprus), Burgas (Bulgaria).
A new airport passenger terminal will be opened before launching the new flights, which is currently being commissioned.
