About The Airport
The Red Sea International Airport (RSI) is part of The Red Sea destination, a luxury tourism destination being built over 28,000 square kilometres on Saudi Arabia’s west coast and being developed by Red Sea Global (RSG).
It is 90km south of Al Wajh in the west of Saudi Arabia. Situated within 3 hours' flying time of 250 million people and 8 hours' flying time for 8% of the world’s population, RSI is a unique, sustainable gateway opening Saudi Arabia up to the world.
RSI serves as a hub for domestic and international flights, connecting travellers from around the world with The Red Sea destination. It welcomed its first passengers in September 2023 and it's set to serve one million guests annually by 2030.
Passengers can fly to RSI with Saudi Arabian Airlines (Saudia), which operates four (04) flights per week from King Khalid International Airport (RUH) in Riyadh, KSA, as well as two (02) flights per week from King Abdulaziz International Airport (JED) in Jeddah, KSA. Passengers can also fly from Dubai, UAE, with flydubai, which operates two (02) direct flights per week from Dubai International Airport (DXB).
