Best ever April in total volumes!
During April, the airport’s passenger traffic reached 1.46 million, corresponding to a significant increase at the level of 21.1% compared to prior-year levels.
More specifically, the number of international passengers grew by 22.8%, reflecting the airport’s enhanced international network for the summer 2015 period. Domestic travellers also presented a considerable growth of 18.0%, while, in total, Greek travellers enjoyed a robust increase of 16% and foreign visitors demonstrated a rise of 25%.
Overall, during the first four months of the year, the airport’s traffic reached 4.4 million passengers, exceeding prior-year levels by 24.2%, with both domestic and international passenger traffic enjoying high levels of increase (of +30.5% and +20.7% respectively). Greek travellers enjoyed a rise of 21%, while foreign visitors grew by 28%.
