October 2015 Traffic Development

 During October, the airport’s passengers reached 1.58 million, corresponding to an increase of 10.2% compared to prior-year levels. Both domestic and international passengers grew at a similar pace of 9% and 10.8%, respectively. Foreign visitors enjoyed a rise of 13%, whereas Greek travellers also increased their air trips by 9%, their demand for international travel being the determinant factor for this increase.

Overall, during the period January-October, the airport’s traffic reached 15.7 million passengers, surpassing prior-year levels by 19.8%, with domestic travellers increasing by 22.9% and international passengers by 18.3%. Greek travellers demonstrated a rise of 11%, while foreign visitors grew by 26%.
