Passenger Traffic Development - June 2016

 The airport’s passenger traffic during June almost reached 2 million passengers (1.96), exceeding the respective 2015 levels by 4%. Both domestic and international passengers demonstrated similar levels of increase of 3.9% and 4% respectively. Greek residents continued their positive development, enjoying an increase at the level of 21%, whereas foreign visitors presented a marginal decline of -3%, a drop attributed to the reduction of foreigners’ domestic trips, while their international trips increased by 1%.

 Overall, during the first half of the year, the airport’s passenger traffic reached 8.68 million, equaling an increase of 8.9%, with domestic passengers growing by 13.1% and international travellers by 6.5%. Both Greek and foreign travellers enjoyed an increase at the level of 14% and 5% respectively.
