Saturday, July 30th, 83,129 passengers passed through our airport

 During July 30th, 2016, Athens International Airport welcomed 83,129 passengers, recording its second best daily performance of all time, just slightly behind May 24th, 2007, when the airport accommodated the traffic of the Champions League Final in Athens (85,224 passengers on that day).

 This particular record (until the next one!), however, is of special significance since it was produced by the normal developmental flow of traffic at our airport, when the previous daily record was a result of a particular operational challenge as was the Champions League Final in 2007.

 It is noteworthy that the next historically higher daily performances of our airport, were also recorded on busy July days this year, signifying the dynamic performance of the summer peak months.
