July traffic: 2.56 million, +7.7%!

During July, the airport’s passenger traffic reached 2.56 million and presented a robust rise of 7.7%.  This outcome was formulated by the strong growth of both domestic and international markets that enjoyed an increase of 5.9% and 8.7% respectively. 

Overall, during the period January through July 2017, the airport’s passenger traffic almost reached 12 million (11.97), exceeding prior-year levels by a robust 8.2%, attributed to the sharp increase of the international sector by 12.2%, while the domestic market presented a small traffic rise (+1.3%), mostly due to the successful performance of summer months of June and July. 

Flights during the first seven months of the year almost reached 110 thousand (109,829) and presented a rise of 2.1%.  Domestic flights were at the respective 2016 levels (+0.3%) while international services showed an increase of 3.5%.
