Athens: August traffic 2.54 million, +7.5%

During August, the airport’s passenger traffic reached 2.54 million and presented a robust rise of 7.5%. This outcome was formulated by the growth of both domestic and international markets that enjoyed an increase of 3.2% and 9.8% respectively.

Overall, during the period January through August 2017, the airport’s passenger traffic reached 14.5 million, exceeding prior-year levels by a robust 8.1%, attributed to the sharp increase of the international sector by 11.8%, while the domestic market rose by 1.6%

Flights during the first eight months of the year reached 132,818 thousand (+2.4%). Domestic flights presented a growth of 1.3%, while international services showed an increase of 3.3%.
