Qatar Airways – Athens: A Success story!
+18.1% YtD 2017 increase & double-digit on a year-to-year basis since 2010, triple daily flight since 2015
Qatar Airways, an important and essential airline partner for the Athens airport, has been constantly active in our market since 2005, demonstrating its unwavering confidence and connecting Athens through Doha with destinations worldwide, operating a triple daily service since 2015.
In a Press Conference held in Athens, Qatar Airways Senior Vice President for Europe, Jonathan Harding, stated that Athens has always been and continues to be one of the most important markets for the airline and the city is one of the airline’s most popular destinations in Europe. “Especially with the development of tourism and other industries, such as energy and shipping, we have seen an increase in the number of our passengers and our predictions for the future are positive”.
Passenger traffic on the Athens-Doha route is expected to reach the 300,000 this year.
+18.1% in passenger traffic on the Athens-Doha route has been recorded YtD2017, compared with the same period last year, while, at the same time, AIA is seeing a YtD 8.5% growth in its total passenger traffic.
