Athens September traffic: +11.2%

During September, airport passenger traffic enjoyed a strong increase of 11.2%, reaching 2.56 million. Both domestic and international travellers achieved growth, at the level of 9.7% and 11.9% respectively. Overall, during the period January through September 2018, Athens airport passenger traffic reached 18.7 million, achieving double-digit growth (+11.5%), with both domestic and international traffic exceeding the respective 2017 volumes by 5.8% and 14.4% respectively.

Flights amounted to 168,668 during the first nine months of the year, demonstrating a healthy rise of 10.5%. Both domestic and international services presented growth by 8.8% and 11.8% respectively, mainly attributed to the enhanced summer 2018 route network of the airport.
