Athens October traffic: +7.7%  

During October, Athens airport passenger traffic enjoyed a robust increase of 7.7%, reaching 2.21 million. The growth of international passengers was the driver of the overall traffic rise, with a 12.6% increase, whereas domestic passengers experienced a small decline of 1.7%. Overall, during the period January through October 2018, passenger traffic reached 20.96 million, achieving double-digit growth (+11.1%), with both domestic and international traffic exceeding the corresponding 2017 volumes by 5% and 14.2% respectively.

Flights amounted to 187,881 during the first ten months of the year, demonstrating a healthy rise of 10.6%. Both domestic and international services presented growth by 9.1% and 11.7% respectively.
