60 years of flights in Greece:)
On Tuesday we celebrated with Lufthansa its 60th anniversary in Greece, since the very first flight in Greece on May 10, 1959! This summer, with 50 weekly departures from Athens, Lufthansa, a structural partner for our market, continues to offer our passengers numerous travel options with its well-known, high-level service.
The airline reached a passenger number record in 2018, carrying approximately 2.7 million passengers to and from Greece, 18 pct more passengers than in 2017, and also held a record in the number of passengers carried in Europe overall, with 142 million.
Once again, we want to wish our airline partner every success and we will continue to support all its developmental plans out of Athens International Airport.
