During May 2019, the airport’s passenger traffic recorded a robust increase of 5.7% and reached 2.29 million. Domestic air travellers remained at the prior year levels (+0.1%), while international passengers demonstrated a strong growth at the level of 8.5%. Overall, during the first five months of 2019, the airport’s passenger traffic reached 8.65 million, exceeding the prior year levels by a robust 7.8%, with both domestic and international traffic seeing considerable increase of 4.6% and 9.3%, respectively.
Flights, respectively, during the first five months of the year, amounted to 77,700, demonstrating a considerable rise of 6.6%. Domestic flights presented a strong rise of 10.7%, while international services also showed a healthy increase of 3.9%.
