Norwegian: ATH – NY JFK!
First long haul by Norwegian in Greece
On Monday we celebrated with Norwegian the introduction of its non-stop Athens – New York (JFK), first Long-Haul route in Greece for Norwegian! Flight is operated with 4 weekly frequencies for the Summer period on a B787-900 equipment (344 capacity).
Norwegian new Long Haul service, will deploy more than 44,000 seats (round-trip) between Athens and New York for Summer 2019

With this latest development, New York is connect to Athens with a total of 32 weekly departures, supporting the growing demand for travel between US and Greece

Delta Airlines with 2 daily to JFK
Norwegian with 4 weekly to JFK
United Airlines with daily to EWR (Newark)
Emirates with daily (year-round) to EWR (Newark)
In addition, ATH is connected to Philadelphia and Chicago, with the latter as a new destination for S’19
In terms of Tourism (Foreign residents arrivals) US is the strongest market for ATH, with 680,000 arrivals for 2018 (11% growth vs. 2017)
Non-stop traffic from ATH to New York @ 392,400 (round-trip) for 2018 +18.2% vs. 2017, best performance ever at ATHs !!
Equally, for the first 5months of 2019 passenger traffic is increasing by +5% on this city-pair...
