COPA Airlines celebrated its 5th anniversary in Aruba!

Everything started on December 15, 2007 when Copa Airlines first landed at Aruba Airport. Now, looking back, it has been a tremendous 5 years for Copa Airlines at Aruba! “A true successful story”, expressed Mr. Peter Steinmetz, CEO of Aruba Airport Authority N.V. (AAA) during the special celebration held in the airport’s VIP-Room to commemorate this important date.
The airline that flies 4 times a week with a 737 and 3 times a week the E190 is very proud of the great relationship it has with AAA and all of its passengers that frequently fly with Copa Airlines. As a result of this success, the airline will be adding 4 additional frequencies as of June 2014 for a total of 11 weekly flights! 7 of these flights will be performed with the 737 and the 4 additional flights will be performed with the E190. Both aircraft have business class service for business and leisure travellers.
Copa Airlines has 90 aircrafts that operate on average 280 daily flights which in total sum up to an average of 1800 weekly flights to 66 destinations in 29 countries. The top 10 markets that fly to Aruba with Copa Airlines consists of Buenos Aires, Sao Paulo, Chile, Cordoba, Panama, Brasilia, Rio de Janeiro, Medellin, Manaos and Costa Rica.
AAA CEO Mr. Peter Steinmetz congratulated the whole Copa Airlines team and especially Mrs. Lucrecia “Lupe” Carrion with her 5thyear with the company as the local representative of the airline. The past 5 years were successful thanks to the team effort of the local airline crew that consists of 12 employees and AAA all employees. The surprise cake presented by AAA was greatly appreciated by the airline team present in the VIP-Room for the celebration.
