Aruba Happy Flow wins award in Asia
With plans to introduce Happy Flow at Schiphol Amsterdam Airport
Aruba Airport Authority N.V. (AAA) is proud to announce that the Happy Flow Aruba project has once again received an important award. On December 2, 2015 the Happy Flow Project was awarded the Pioneer Award by the APSCA an Asia-Pacific forum for government identity smart cards. This award reassures that the Aruba Happy Flow is a leader in the field and further motivates the Happy Flow Team that consists of members from Schiphol, KLM, Aruba Government, Aruba Immigration Services and AAA to continue with the efforts to further develop the pilot project.
Currently a delegation from Schiphol and KLM are on the island to visit the Aruba Happy Flow at Queen Beatrix International Airport. Purpose of this visit to Aruba is to look at a possible Happy Flow introduction at Schiphol Airport. Schiphol and KLM partnered for the Happy Flow Aruba project in May of this year. The delegation, composed of executives of Passenger Services and Security, received a detailed explanation and tour of the unique and innovative project.
Aruba can be very proud of this unique project that has put Aruba on the map of innovative airports and passenger handling processes worldwide.
