Aruba Airport visited by the Minister of Security and Justice of the Netherlands Mr. van der Steur
Toured the airport facilities
Aruba Airport Authority N.V. (AAA) recently hosted the Minister of Security and Justice of the Netherlands for a tour of the Airport facilities and explained the plans for expansion and improvements.
AAA CEO, Mr. James Fazio gave the Minister, Mr. van der Steur and his accompanying delegation the opportunity to see the various electronic Border Processing systems at the Airport, including the Happy Flow and the APC’s for US bound passengers.
During the tour Mr. Gerald Vingal, IASA’s Chief explained the benefits of automated Border Control systems for Aruba and the airport. The Port Director for US Customs and Border Protection in Aruba, Mr. Grimes also elaborated on Pre-clearance operations in Aruba and the benefits of the recently added Automated Passport Control Kiosks by Aruba Airport.
Minister Mr. van der Steur was able to have a close-up experience of all recently upgraded processes at the Airport and left with a positive impression of the facilities and also the teamwork between the airport partners to improve the passenger experience at Aruba Airport.
