SUN COUNTRY AIRLINES® ANNOUNCES NEW SERVICE TO ARUBA AND TUCSON, ARIZONA

New destinations expand Minnesota’s Hometown Airline™ routes to 41 destinations

MINNEAPOLIS (May 10, 2017) Sun Country Airlines (Sun Country) today announces two new nonstop seasonal destinations from Minneapolis/St. Paul, Minnesota (MSP), with the only nonstop scheduled service to Aruba (AUA), and scheduled service to Tucson, Arizona (TUS), as it unveils its winter/spring 2018 schedule. The new flights offer Sun Country® customers direct access to a popular vacation destination in the Caribbean Sea, and a new option to get to Arizona’s popular Sonoran Desert city. The new service offerings expand Minnesota’s Hometown Airline™ to 41 destinations.


Seasonal flights to Aruba and Tucson will be offered December 2017 through April 2018 via Minneapolis/St. Paul International Airport, Terminal 2. Service to Aruba will include one flight per week, departing Saturdays from Dec. 23 to April 7. Travel to Tucson will be available from Dec. 21 through April 15, with flights departing Tuesday, Thursday and Sunday.
 
For Midwest travelers, direct travel to Aruba offers an easy escape to a beautiful island in the Caribbean Sea, just off the coast of South America. Travelers will get to experience one of the most temperate islands in the Caribbean in the peak of the Midwest winter season.

In the heart of the one-of-a-kind Sonoran Desert, Tucson prides itself on being unpretentious, offering Midwest travelers the opportunity to experience outdoor activities from biking and mountain climbing to golf or relaxing poolside. At night, the city has a growing art, food and entertainment scene. Tucson is Sun Country’s second destination in Arizona.

Flight and hotel vacation packages for both destinations will be available through Sun Country Vacations®. In addition, Sun Country’s winter schedule for all destinations is now available for sale with flight dates through April 2018.
