Aruba Airport Reports Positive Growth in January 2025 Passenger Traffic

Aruba Airport kicked off 2025 with steady growth in passenger traffic and operations, reflecting a strong start to the year.
The airport recorded a total of over 289,868 passengers, marking a 8.1% year-on-year increase in January of 2025. Commercial aircraft movements also saw a significant rise, totaling 1,266, reflecting a 6.5% growth compared to January 2024. Revenue generating passengers (RGP) showed strong performance with an 8.2% increase, surpassing 145,900 passengers.
In terms of market performance, Aruba Airport's largest market, the U.S., maintained its dominance with a 68% market share, experiencing a 4% growth in RGP and 2% growth in seat capacity. Latin America, the second largest market, demonstrated notable growth with a 25% increase in RGP and 6% increase in seat capacity. Canada and Europe also showed positive trends in RGPs, with increases of 7% and 9% respectively, despite fluctuations in seat capacity.
The top airlines by RGP in January 2025 were JetBlue leading with a 19% market share, followed by American Airlines at 17%, Delta Air Lines at 15%, United Airlines at 12%, and Avianca Airlines at 5%. In terms of gateways, New York (JFK, EWR, LGA) led with 23% of seat capacity, followed by Boston (BOS) at 12%, Miami (MIA) at 7%, and both Toronto (YYZ) and Bogota (BOG) at 6%.
Looking ahead into 2025, Aruba Airport anticipates maintaining its current traffic levels with additional flight frequencies planned throughout North America and Latin America regions.
