billi terminal works: moving towards an optimized passenger experience in our low-cost terminal
Our goal? To enhance the welcome in the low-cost billi terminal!
Improving the customer experience, adapting infrastructure to optimize passenger flow, renovations, and regulatory changes are all part of the airport's plans for significant transformations over the next five years. To minimize disruptions, the first project will focus on the billi terminal dedicated to low-cost airlines. Construction will begin in October, at the end of the summer season. This new space will allow the airport to better manage public reception by improving traveler comfort and flow, expanding commercial offerings, and enhancing restroom facilities.
This 600m² extension, aimed at enhancing the passenger experience in the check-in area, will be located on the city side and will replace the existing outdoor coffee shop without any additional soil impermeabilization.
The bioclimatic design of the new entrance, reaching 10 meters high, will also contribute to user comfort. Adjustable louvers placed in front of the vegetation and large fans will promote natural ventilation and improve perceived air quality.
More broadly, as part of the strategic project named Resources 27, the airport company has decided to construct a central building between Halls A and B, the two main terminals, following discussions on the evolution of its facilities. The consultation for the grouping of companies regarding project management is currently underway, with construction expected to begin in early 2026. The project will be subject to specific detailed information provided later.
