Recommendation to visit Mexico, a secure, safe and beautiful destination
After last April's sanitary emergency, The President of the World Health Organization (WHO) said that Mexico is a secure, safe and beautiful destination to visit.
Margaret Chan, Head of WHO, attended the high level convention "Lesson learnt from Influenza AH1N1". She stated that there are no reasons to avoid traveling to Mexico since this does not stop nor avoid the bout.
Dr. Chan noted that the pandemics is in phase 6, this means that the virus has already spread to more than a 100 countries.
Before the Health Ministers of Mexico, Canada, the USA and the President of Mexico, Mr. Felipe Calderon, Ms. Chang commended the work of the Mexican authorities which advised the world promptly about the situation.
This pandemics, added the head of WHO, "will be moderately severe during the very first days of it, and its effects will be temporary" she cited as an example the closing of schools.
The officer added that there is no reason for alarm.
