The GMR Group led, Delhi International Airport Ltd is a consortium; comprising of GMR Group, Airports Authority of India and Fraport. It is a shining example of Public Private Partnership (PPP) and Make in India. DIAL completed the modernization of Delhi’s IGI Airport including the commissioning of Terminal 3-India’s largest building post-independence in a record time of 37 mths.

The modern airport has been recognized at various forums globally, inc. SKYTRAX World Airport Award17 for the Best Airport in India and Central Asia, it has been adjudged as World’s second best Airport by Airports Council International’s (ACI) in 2016 in the category of above 40 mppa.

DIAL has emerged as a new int. Hub airport in the South East Asia. DEL is now connected with  <135 destinations (52 Foreign Carriers, 11 Indian carriers). Delhi Airport handled a record 57.7 mil pass in FY2017, a growth of 19% YoY. It added 9.3 mil pass in the financial year. Int transfers/transit constitutes 23.5% of the int pas. and handled record 857 thousand metric tonnes of cargo, a growth of 9% YoY.

The air service development team at DEL is working towards increasing both international and domestic connectivity.
