Dublin Airport Welcomes New Liverpool Service
Dublin Airport has welcomed the announcement by Aer Lingus of a new Dublin-Liverpool service from next autumn.
The airline has also said that its recently launched Washington DC service will continue into January next year.
Welcoming the Liverpool announcement, Dublin Airport Managing Director Vincent Harrison said: “This year we are marking the 75th anniversary of Dublin Airport when the first flight, an Aer Lingus Lockheed 14 aircraft departed for Liverpool on January 19, 1940.”
“So I am particularly pleased that Aer Lingus has announced new services to Liverpool this October.”
He added: “The new route will offer more choice for business and leisure passengers flying between Ireland and Britain and also provides convenient transatlantic connections via Dublin for passengers coming from the UK’s North West region.”
The new daily service between Dublin and Liverpool will start on October 23.
