Dublin Airport Has Busiest Ever Month In July
Dublin Airport had its busiest ever month in July with almost 2.7 million passengers – a 17% increase on the same month last year.
Nearly 1.5 million travelled on continental European routes, a rise of 14%. Just over 794,000 passengers travelled to and from the UK, a 16% increase.
Transatlantic traffic increased by 26%, with almost 320,000 people travelling. Other international traffic, including flights to the Middle East and Africa, increased by 42%, with almost 87,000 passengers flying.
The number of passengers on domestic flights fell by 10% during the month, with just over 8,000 people taking flights within the Republic.
In the first seven months of this year almost 14.2 million passengers have used Dublin Airport, which is a 15% increase on the same period in 2014.
