The new Amsterdam service will operate four times daily, beginning on October 27.
Ryanair also plans to increase capacity on the following routes from Dublin in summer 2016 - Alicante, Barcelona, Berlin, Birmingham, Brussels, Budapest, East Midlands, Liverpool, London Gatwick, Madrid, Malaga, Manchester, Venice Treviso, and Warsaw.
“Ryanair is an important customer for Dublin Airport, and we welcome its plans to expand further over the next 12 months,” said Dublin Airport Managing Director, Vincent Harrison.
“Ryanair’s new Amsterdam service and increased frequencies of 14 existing routes will provide passengers with greater choice and flexibility whether travelling for business or leisure purposes.”
He added: “This announcement is good news for Irish business and tourism to Ireland, particularly as a recent economic study highlighted the huge importance of Dublin Airport as an engine of growth for the Irish economy.”
Announcing its summer schedule, Ryanair said it will operate a total of 83 routes out of Dublin, with 742 weekly flights – the latter an increase of 15% over summer 2015.
It said it will increase its annual passenger traffic to and from Dublin to 11.75 million – an increase of 1.1 million.
The Ryanair announcement was also welcomed by Transport and Tourism Minister Paschal Donohoe. “The growth at Dublin Airport outlined today by Ryanair is good news for customers, who now have greater choice; for job creation, which will grow as a result, and for Irish aviation, which is going from strength to strength.
“The addition of a new route to Amsterdam from winter 2015 and additional capacity on another 14 routes further strengthens Ryanair's position across Europe and facilitates the growth of tourism here at home.”
