Happy St. Patrick’s Day From Dublin Airport
Dublin Airport will welcome more than 376,000 passengers arriving and departing in the coming days for the St. Patrick’s Day celebrations.
A variety of musical entertainment is scheduled for passengers flying in for the big day. This will include singing from Portmarnock Community School students and various performances by Dublin Airport staff to raise funds for daa’s three staff charities.
Both terminals are fully decked out in festive decorations, and the ‘greening’ of prominent buildings, including Terminals 1, 2 and the OCTB all add to the festive atmosphere around the airport this week.
“Once again Dublin Airport is participating in the Global Greening,” said daa spokesperson Siobhán O’Donnell. “This is our fourth year to green the airport and we’re lighting up more locations around the airport campus to bring the St. Patrick’s Day festival to life.”
This is also a big sporting week and 15 flights have been added to the schedule for the thousands of punters travelling to and from the Cheltenham Racing Festival..
The airport is also looking forward to welcoming rugby fans arriving for the Ireland-England Six Nations match on Saturday.
