Record Bank Holiday Weekend At Dublin Airport
Almost 422,000 passengers travelled through Dublin Airport during the August Bank Holiday weekend from Friday, 3rd August to Monday, 6th August. Passenger figures are up 4% compared to the same weekend last year.
Dublin Airport Communications Manager, Siobhán O’Donnell said that this last bank holiday of the summer season was the busiest of the year with over 2,780 flights arriving and departing over the weekend.
Siobhán O’Donnell said that “the addition of 14 new routes and services to our network this year, coupled with extra frequencies on 39 existing services has contributed to the increase in passenger numbers”.
Dublin Airport has welcomed over 855,000 extra passengers during the first half of 2018, with passenger numbers up 6% to just over 14.7 million in the six months to the end of June.
