daa Signs Up To The “Toulouse Declaration” On Future Sustainability And Decarbonisation Of Aviation

daa has signed up to the Toulouse Declaration on Future Sustainability and Decarbonisation of Aviation, which was announced on Friday at a European Aviation Summit in France.

The declaration recognises the need for immediate action to decarbonise aviation while continuing to improve regional and global multimodal connectivity in Europe and globally.

As a signatory of this declaration, daa is striving to ensure environmentally, socially and economically sustainable and inclusive international connectivity while reaffirming its commitment to the decarbonisation of aviation by 2050.

In 2020 daa committed to a net-zero carbon emissions goal by 2050, along with almost 200 other European airports, in a landmark move for the airport industry. The deadline of 2050 aligns with the European decarbonisation deadline set by the European Commission and adopted by the Council of the European Union.

The Toulouse Declaration marks the first time that European governments, national industries, unions and their relevant stakeholders are formally aligned on aviation decarbonisation.
