Dublin Airport Celebrates Inaugural Pegasus Flight to Ankara
There was Turkish delight at Dublin Airport today following the launch of Pegasus Airlines' new direct flight to the Turkish capital of Ankara.
The new service will operate three times per week at passenger friendly times, departing from Dublin to Ankara on Wednesdays and Sundays at 13:25 and Fridays at 13:35.
The flights will operate on new-generation fuel-efficient Airbus A321neo aircraft. Today's launch at Dublin Airport was attended by the Ambassador of Turkey, Mehmet Hakan Olcay and the Pegasus Airlines team.
Speaking prior to the inaugural flight today, Gary McLean, Managing Director of Dublin Airport said: "We're delighted to welcome Pegasus Airlines to Dublin Airport and this is an exciting new addition to the schedule at Dublin Airport that is sure to prove very popular with passengers."
Commenting on the route launch, Onur Dedeköylü, Pegasus Airlines' Chief Commercial Officer (CCO), said: “Our new Ankara-Dublin route not only adds a new destination to our growing European network but also links the capitals of Türkiye and Ireland, enhancing tourism and business ties between our nations."
