Eindhoven Airport realizes 20% growth

Eindhoven Airport realized a passenger growth of 20% in the first quarter of 2017 compared to last year.

In the period from January until March 1.106.000 passengers made use of the airport, 183.000 passengers more than the first three months of 2016. (2016 : 923.000 passengers)

 The passenger growth is due to the increase of frequencies, a higher passenger load factor per flight and more destinations.

 The growth of the amount of flight movements has increased by 14% in this period, 7.700 flight movements over January until March 2017 (6.800 flight movements in the first quarter of 2016).

 Eindhoven Airport expects to realize a growth in 2017 by 11%, which means a total passenger number of 5.3 million (2016: 4.7 million passengers).

 The amount of flight movements over 2017 is expected to be around 36.100 (2016: 32.807 flight movements)
