Eindhoven sees busiest departure day ever

Eindhoven Airport is boosting its growth! The first quarter of 2017 was successful; 20% growth in passengers numbers. This means that the second largest airport in the Netherlands is one of the fastest growing airports in Europe. This year the airport will surpass the 5 million passengers for the first time. With significant growth also comes busy days; the Friday, before the Easter holiday commenced, the airport noted its busiest day in the books so far. Most travelers opted for the sun, as Faro and Barcelona were the most popular destination amongst all travellers on April 14 (see graphic)

In total 19.197 passengers flew out via Eindhoven Airport making use of 119 flight operations, which means a day record in terms of passenger numbers. And with the May- and Summer holidays still in sight this is indicating it's going to be a busy Summer season in Eindhoven. The airport is ready for it, opening just before Summer a new Multi Purpose Building, 2 new gates and even added a valet parking service to its parking facilities. Despite the growing number of passengers and further development of the airport facilities, Eindhoven Airport remains to promise its passengers to be an 'Always Easy' travel experience.
