Retrospect to the 2019
2019 just flew by, literally
But this one was very dynamic for Eindhoven Airport. Starting from Official advise to the Dutch government from the former government official Pieter van Geel in April, where he stated that Eindhoven Airport shouldn’t have more flight movements in the next two years and that by the 2030 should lower its noise footprint for 30% comparing to 2019. Summer period was also very interesting, after arrival of the new CEO Mr. Roel Hellemons, but also adjusting to the new company governance structure. Although quite challenging, transition was performed very smooth, fundamental for the future aviation requirements was also set, which all led to record year for Eindhoven Airport.
in 2019 Eindhoven Airport also welcomed 5 new airlines.
In total, Eindhoven Airport welcomed 6.719.491 passengers, with a growth of 8.66 %, which is quite moderate comparing to previous year growths, but goes perfectly with our new strategy : Quality before Quantity.
Eindhoven Airport had 41.438 flights during 2019 which makes growth of 7.24%. This is a result of introducing airplanes with more seat capacity from some airlines, but also higher Seat Load Factor (SLF). Average SLF increased from 88.5% (2018) to 88.9% in 2019 and average passengers per flight also increased from 168.4 PAX/flight (2018) to 170.5 PAX/flight in 2019.
Eindhoven Airport was connected to 89 different destinations, 31 countries and 20 capital cities.
With its strong business background and environment care, Eindhoven Airport will do its best to combine this two worlds and although future of Eindhoven Airport is challenging, it is also a very bright future, no question about it.
