Best half-year result for 13 years: more than 530,000 passengers at Münster/Osnabrück Airport (FMO)
Münster/Osnabrück Airport recorded a total of over 530,000 passengers in the first six months of 2024. With this increase of around 35% compared to the same period of the previous year, FMO is one of the most successful German airports in terms of the recovery after COVID-19. The airport last recorded more than half a million passengers in 2011. The highest-volume routes in the first half of the year were Antalya (151,000 passengers), Mallorca (132,000) and Munich (92,000).
A total of 14 airlines are serving 16 destinations this year. With Condor, Marabu Airlines, Mavi Gök Airlines and Pegasus Airlines, four new airlines have been welcomed to FMO this year so far. New destinations such as Alicante and increased frequencies, particularly to Antalya, Majorca, Heraklion and Munich, are key drivers for the significant increase this year.
